hey everyone welcome back we are diving deep today and let me tell you it's a topic that I think a lot of you are going to find super interesting I think so yeah we're talking about Google business profile reviews M you know those little star ratings and comments you see when you're looking up a business online we're going to dig into whether those reviews those uvp reviews could actually become like the ultimate tool for businesses to like really understand their customers right and could they so powerful that businesses can actually ditch those old school feedback methods like surveys and stuff yeah buckle up we are GNA find out it's pretty fascinating actually uh one of the things that's really interesting about GBP reviews is that they offer this like constant stream of customer feedback oh interesting right so unlike you know like traditional customer surveys that just give you like a little snapshot in time right right GBP reviews are always coming in okay so you're getting this Dynamic picture of how customers are feeling okay so it's like a live feed yeah exactly 247 of what your customers think exactly that sounds amazing yeah but also I could see that being overwhelming for a business owner yeah to try and keep up with that constant flow of information absolutely and that is a great point I mean it can be a lot to manage you have to find the right tools and strategies to kind of keep up with all of that data right but I think even more importantly you have to understand like what makes GBP reviews so unique and so valuable okay yeah and that is that you are getting both quantitative uh data so that's your star ratings and qualitative data which is you know the detailed comments that people leave oh so you're getting both yes the numbers and the and the why behind the numers exactly exactly that's super cool I think a lot of business owners would love to know why oh absolutely why someone gave them three stars instead of five stars and that's exactly it you know you think about it a three star rating yeah could mean so many different things depending on what the person wrote in the comments right right right so you know just to give you an example let's say a restaurant gets a three star review okay and the person says the food was amazing oh but the service was a bit slow okay so numerically you know it's average three stars it's a three but when you read the comment you get so much more information right you realize oh okay maybe we need to look at our you know Staffing levels maybe we need to look at how we're manag tables right but the food is good the chef's killing it right it's not the chef's fault exactly this is all super interesting and I really like this real-time feedback loop but let's talk about how businesses can practically use all this info yeah to actually make changes totally to their product well because GBP reviews are often tied to specific products or Services right they offer these incredibly actionable insights okay right so let's say you have a bakery I don't know why I'm using a bakery but we'll say a bakery yeah sounds delicious I like it gets a bunch of five-star reviews everyone's raving about their new gluten-free bread that's awesome awesome but then you notice that in the comments people are saying oh but it always sells out I can never get any right they can immediately take that feedback and adjust their baking schedule wow that's really cool they don't have to do a whole big market research right focus group they don't have to spend a ton of money no they're getting the information right there from the customers it seems like a win-win getting better information for potentially less money absolutely than doing it the old way exactly what else there has to be something else I feel like we're just scratching the surface well I mean think about the credibility Factor okay yeah right GBP reviews are public right anybody can see them and that just gives them this this authenticity right that you don't always get from you know feedback that's collected internally okay yeah that's true if you think about it from the perspective of a potential customer yeah seeing a ton of positive reviews from other people yeah it builds trust for sure absolutely it builds trust it's like a seal of approval right from real people I like that a seal of approval from real people and and here's something that I think might surprise people okay even negative reviews oh interesting if they're handled well can actually boost a business's credibility really okay why how because it shows that they are being transparent oh okay and that they care about addressing customer concerns so they're taking they're actually taking the time to respond to negative feedback exactly and that shows that they are listening okay that they care so it's not always bad to have you know the occasional negative review yeah as long as as long as you're responding to it appropriately so to recap we're saying that Google business profile reviews can offer this really cool real time a real time a realtime view of what customers think that it's comprehensive they get the numbers and the why exactly and it's actionable they can take that information and actually make changes in their business absolutely and it's transparent so people you know everyone knows what's going on so I think the big takeaway is that it seems like these GBP reviews really could replace traditional feedback mechanisms potentially yeah I mean it it makes sense when you when you lay it out like that it does but I think it also raises a whole other set of questions oh absolutely like if GBP reviews are this valuable mhm what should businesses be doing yeah to
